William "Randy" Soules II

William “Randy” Soules II, 76, of Terre Haute, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Union Hospital. He was born on November 25, 1949, in Terre Haute, to William R. Soules, Sr. and Bette Fern Merritt Soules.

Randy is survived by his sister, Bettina Ramey; sister-in-law, Karen Bowen; and special family members, Ashlynn, Tiffanie, Landyn, and Maelynn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet K. Whitman Soules; step-son, Shane Foutz; brothers-in-law, Mike Ramey and Bob Bowen; and his best friend and canine companion, Frosty.

Randy graduated from Garfield High School in 1967. He worked for CSX railroad for over 40 years. He was a 50-year member of Social Lodge 86 and a member of the Zorah Shrine serving in the drum core and as Grand Potentate. Randy loved to ride his motorcycle and drive his Corvette. He enjoyed sitting outside in the sun, listening to music.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7 from 3:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home with Masonic Rites. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society.
