William (Bill) L. Bower

William (Bill) L. Bower, 80, of Cory, IN passed away May 4, 2026, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.

Bill was born on June 30, 1945, in Murphysboro, IL.

Bill was a Vietnam veteran of the Navy.

He was an outstanding mechanic.

He relocated to Terre Haute, IN in 2002. He met his beloved partner, Ruby Waldron, shortly thereafter. Together they built a loving relationship lasting almost 20 years. Ruby survives, as does a sister, Mary Jo Reed of Crystal City, MO.

He was preceded in death his parents, Shirley J. and Nona I (Holiday) Bower, as well as 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Oak Hill Cemetery officiated by Rev. Dick Boyce of Prairie City Methodist Church.
