Terry Lewis Barcus

Terry Lewis Barcus, 77, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026 in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. He was born July 20, 1948 in Dover, Ohio to Robert Edgar Barcus and Joy Eulalia (Maurer) Barcus.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Durst Barcus; his sons, George Lewis Barcus nd his wife Kristina (Seaman) Barcus, and Robert Allen Barcus; his brother, Mike Barcus and his wife Jean (Casebolt) Barcus; and his granddaughters, Adalyn, Olivia, Kayla, and Hensley. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Terry spent 33 years working as an auditor for the federal government. He was a member of Putnamville United Methodist Church and proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam Era. He was also a member of the American Legion.

Terry was a loyal lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians. He especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and loved fishing, camping, and being outdoors.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 22, 2026 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, Terre Haute, with Rev. Chris Rufener officiating. Visitation will be one half hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
