Patricia Ann Feckete, 80, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday morning, September 8, 2024. She was born December 15, 1943 in Hempstead, NY.
Survivors include her husband of over 55 years, Stephen Feckete, Jr.; children, Stephen John Feckete (Julie) of Avon, IN and Kenneth Arthur Feckete (Nicole) and Laurie Ann Setliff ( Jason) of Terre Haute; eight grandchildren, Payton, Landon, Ella, Maggie, Carter, Amelia, Kaitlyn and Mariah; her sister, Judie Shimer of St. Mary-of-the-Woods; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Arthur Taylor; and a sister, Sharon Klukosky.
Early in her life, Patricia worked with Lundy Electronic and Systems Corporation working on the wiring of the US Air Force F111 Fighter and also with the Apolo Space Program. Additionally, she loved working with children in the school lunch aid program for the Patchogue-Medford School District in Long Island, New York, baby-sat for many of her neighbors’ children, Office Manager and Framing designer for Apple Framing Company in Medford, NY and was a teaching assistant at Deming Elementary School in Terre Haute.
Patricia was a member of St. Mary’s Village Church at St. Mary-of-the-Woods and attended Annunciation Catholic Church in Brazil, IN and St. Patrick Catholic Church in Terre Haute. She was a life member of the Marine Corps League Ladies Auxiliary and Red Hat Society. She loved painting ceramics and excelled at interior decorating. Patricia was a Girl Scout Troop Leader, Religious Education Teacher, youth soccer mom and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Friday, September 13, 2024 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Deacon Steve Gretencord officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
