Mary G. Pilipovich, 89, of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Regional Hospital. She was born on October 2, 1935, in Terre Haute, to Gerald Francis and Alice (Fee) Caughlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Louis Pilipovich; a son, Deron Pilipovich; and a brother, Michael Caughlin.
Mary was a graduate of Fayette High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Indiana State University in Business Education and a Professional Certification in Guidance and Counseling, also from ISU. A combined 30 years in education, Mary taught in both Vigo and Vermillion Counties, retiring in 1995 from South Vermillion School Corporation as Director of Counseling.

She was also a member of the Clinton Associate Chapter of Tri Kappa, Terre Haute Chapter K of P.E.O., and lifetime member of Gamma Omicron Chapter of Delta Gamma Fraternity.
Not one to let the grass grow under her feet, Mary led an active, full life of 89 years. She was a member of the Western Riders Social Club and enjoyed the many Turner bus tours she took with them. She never turned down an invitation to dinner, a show, or to try something new. She was artistic and used her talents to make embroidered shirts for fellow educators, quilts, and elaborate, handmade cards to show how much she cared. She also made time for the Lord and was an active member of St. Joseph University Parish, attending virtually when she was unable to go in person.
