Mary Willadene Young Corenflos, 79, of West Terre Haute passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025 in her son’s residence. She was born November 28, 1945 in Terre Haute to Arron Coy Young and Nancy Jane Shell Young. The final day was filled with friends, praying with her, singing her favorite hymns, loving on her. She spent the last few weeks where she wanted to be, surrounded by all of her family and so many friends in our home. The sting of our loss is overshadowed by the belief that gave her peace throughout her battle with sickness. Even in her emotional struggle she expressed it out loud often and anchored to it. The belief that we have hope beyond this life. That is the tension between the temporal desire to stay and the comfort our savior provides in the midst of our darkest hour. We’re so grateful for the outpouring of love from so many over the past few weeks. The visits, cards, flowers, messages, calls, prayers, food, gestures of kindness and love to our family have been such a comfort. The depth of all those connections truly defines life. It has been humbling and inspiring. Thank you!! A special thank you to the 3rd floor staff at Union hospital that gave such loving care to Mom. Also the docs, Dr M. Jabbour, Dr S. Gowda, Dr M. Gera and the hospitalists. 38 days in the hospital and we were so blessed. Thank you all for what you do and for caring for her like she was your mother. ❤️
Survivors include her husband, Adrien Victor Corenflos, Jr.; son, Vic Corenflos (Teresa); sister, Barb Meeks, (Shelburn); grandchildren, Adrien Victor Corenflos IV (Megan), Hayden Corenflos (Carleigh), Ethan Corenflos, and Elliott Corenflos; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Carlos Young.

Those donations can be made directly to the church and designated “Mary’s Garden”.
