Marie Louise Farnsworth

Marie L. Farnsworth, age 103, passed away peacefully at her home on October 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born April 13, 1923, in Clinton, Indiana, she was the daughter of Louis D. Marietta and Josephine (Marketto) Marietta and the beloved sister of Elnora Marietta Wright.

Marie grew up in Clinton and graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in 1945. She worked as a teacher and later became a homemaker, sharing her knowledge and care with both her students and her family. A woman of deep Catholic faith, she lived her life guided by prayer, devotion, and a commitment to service. She married Donald H. Farnsworth, her devoted partner in a marriage built on love, faith, and mutual respect. Together, Marie and Don created a home overflowing with warmth and stability. As parents, they raised their children, Stephen K. Farnsworth and Donna M. Farnsworth, with extraordinary devotion, ensuring each child was supported, nurtured, and given every opportunity to flourish. Their love and guidance shaped their children’s lives in lasting and profound ways.
