Louella J. Edwards

Louella J. Edwards, 83, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025 at her home in Westminster Village, surrounded by family. She was born on May 7, 1942, in Providence, RI to Ella A Chaffee and Louis Lubosky.

Louella is survived by her son, Mark Guenzel (Debbi) of Terre Haute; three grandchildren, Nikki King (Chris), Megan Ogg Guenzel, and Anthony Guenzel (Sierra Sawtelle); four great grandchildren, Camden Ogg, Mackenzie King, William King, and Caroline Ogg; five step children, Mike Edwards (Kathy), Pam Davis (Charles Vicars), Tony Edwards (Kim), Amy Wickens (Mark), and Mandy Walden (Brent); thirteen step grandchildren; and eighteen step great grandchildren.

Louella is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Warren Guenzel in 1980; and her second husband, Gene Edwards in 2018.

Louella loved her cat. She enjoyed shopping and trips to the casino. Most of all, she loved her family and being a Nana to many.

Louella’s family would like to thank the staff at Westminster Village and the staff of Hands That Serve for the love and care she received. They would also like to thank the trauma ICU at St. Vincent, especially nurse Angela Furrer who is a true angel. Special thanks to Southern Care Hospice and Dr. Mendoza for providing peace and comfort.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th St., Terre Haute, IN 47803. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home, with Deacon Steve Gretencord officiating. Louella will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
