Lon Maurice Gibbons

Lon Maurice Gibbons, 62, of Terre Haute passed away Friday afternoon, January 22, 2021.  He was a forklift operator for Premium Packaging in Paris, IL.  Lon was born February 8, 1958 in Germany to Floyd Gibbons and Barbara Reitzel Gibbons.

Survivors include his wife Angelia Vest Gibbons; son, Donald Olsen;  daughter, Joanna Brankey (Jagger);  a grandchild, Jurnie (his little turtle);  and 7 brothers and sisters, Cathy Gibbons, Joseph Gibbons, Felicia Gibson, Shawn Gibbons, Merry Robertson, Ed Gibbons (Julie) and Fred Smith.  Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Agnes Cooley; a brother-in-law, Marshall Vest (Brandi); and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother,  Marilyn Gibbons and his step-father, Charles “Chuck” Elkins.

Lon was a graduate of Clinton High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1976-1981.  Among the things Lon loved to do most, was fishing and golfing.
