Kelly Dawn Cook, 60, of Terre Haute passed away early Monday morning, May 20, 2024. She was born June 18, 1963 in Terre Haute to Donald Heramb and Daisey Wiles Heramb.
Survivors include her three daughters, Kristina Michaels of Terre Haute, Tina Trosper (Robert) of Louisiana and Terresa Cook of Terre Haute; her mother, Daisey Heramb-Bailey of Terre Haute; and 2 grandchildren, Karl Anthony Michaels and Savannah Broussard (Kobey) of Louisiana. Also surviving are 3 great-grandchildren, Callie, Rocky and Jaxon; her sister, Penny Jean Heramb Smith (Ronald) of Terre Haute; two sisters-in-law, Deborah Heramb of Florida and Delores Heramb of Georgia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father; two brothers, Mark Anthony “Tony” Heramb and Jeffery Lewis Heramb; and a grandson, Charles Oliver “Ollie” Trosper.
Kelly worked in housekeeping for over 20 years beginning at Indiana State University and most recently at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. She took great pride in her work and service to those organizations. Kelly also enjoyed growing her roses and loved taking care of her family. She was a mom to everyone she met, and a self-proclaimed crazy-cat lady! She loved with her whole heart. She will be sorely missed.
Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Private burial will be in Hull Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
