Kathleen (Kathy) Ann Reed

Kathleen (Kathy) Ann Reed, RN, 76, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023 in her residence.  She was born August 4, 1947 in Decatur, IN to Lyle Mallonee and Harriett Shockey Mallonee.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Richard J. Reed whom she married August 30, 1969; her children, Sarah Reed Tibbett and Scott Reed (Julie); and grandchildren, Hannah Reed, Jonathan Reed, Chloe Reed, and Mia Tibbett.

Kathleen was a graduate of St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Ft. Wayne, IN and was in practice with her husband in Terre Haute. Above all, she loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She made friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and basket weaving.  She had lived in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and St. Marten. She recently became an American Red Cross Disaster Volunteer.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:15 P.M. Saturday, December 9, 2023 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Father Bob Showers officiating.  Visitation will be prior to services from 1:00 until 3:15 P.M. on Saturday. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery in Ft. Wayne, IN at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Red Cross Disaster Services, 29 S. Stockwell Road, Evansville, IN  47714.
