Kathleen Harden

Kathleen Harden, 84, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026 in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. She was born December 2, 1941 in Terre Haute to Harry Ramer and Georgia Rader Ramer.

Survivors include her sons, Glen Harden (Maureen) and Allan Harden (Robin); sister, Marilyn Burroughs; grandchildren, Maebry Harden, Camden Harden (Maggie), Liam Harden, and Megan Harden; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Harden, Jr. and her parents.

Kathleen was a life member of NEA and ISTA. She was a graduate of Wiley High School, and Indiana State University where she received her Master’s degree. Kathleen taught in the Vigo County School Corporation for 28 years retiring in 2004. She taught at Rankin, Crawford, and Farrington Grove. Kathleen started the first girls swimming team in Terre Haute at the YMCA. She was the executive officer for the Home Builders’ Association and Associated Building Contractors in the 1980’s. Kathleen co-owned Wabash Valley Copier with her husband.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 19, 2026 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Mark Grayless officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
