With over 171,146 words in the English language there are not enough to string together to describe the sorrow this news has brought to so many. Jared Menestrina, 39, of Terre Haute passed away on Tuesday, September 28th, 2021 in Zionsville, Indiana. Jared was born in Terre Haute on July 7th of 1982 to Patricia Welch Heaton Parker and Jerry Menestrina. Jared attended Terre Haute North Vigo High School before serving his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force and the 181st Intelligence Wing. He spent several years in the Middle East defending our liberties and freedom.
Services will take place in Terre Haute at Callahan and Hughes. Friends and loved ones are asked to visit on Saturday, October 2nd from 2pm-5pm. Funeral will be held on Sunday, October 3rd at 3pm with burial to follow.
Jared was someone that loved all and will not easily be forgotten. Whether through his infectious smile, his crazy antics or his fierce loyalty he made you feel safe and as a part of something greater. His charismatic personality would ignite a passion inside of others, always supporting and encouraging people to do great things. He always looked out for everyone, he despised making anyone feel out of place and would go out of his way to make people feel included.
He was an over-achiever that had so much more left to give and had plans of going on to share his story with others to help them find the light in a sometimes dark and turbulent world. He was nowhere close to done but when we plan sometimes God laughs.
Please remember all of the times you spent together and keep his memory alive as you move forward. So let us leave this place where the smoke blows black and the dark streets winds and bends. Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow. We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow. Because in the end it was not the shortness of years but the abundance of life that touched us all.
Jared is survived by his mother, Patricia Parker; his stepfathers, Thomas Heaton and Dale Parker; brother, Brandon Heaton; sisters Lacey Skwortz, Brittany Menestrina, Kylie Heaton; his nephews Austin, Stevie, Connor; nieces Annika, Emma and Evelyn; stepbrother, Dale Parker Jr.; stepsisters Katelyn Parker and Chelsea Montgomery. As well as all of his friends that to him were always family. He was preceded in death by his father Jerry Menestrina and sister Ashlee Menestrina-Brown.
We love you always and forever Mene.
