James Michael Swift

James Michael Swift, 68, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at his home. He was born on August 31, 1957, in Terre Haute, to Doris Swift and James L. Swift

Mike is survived by his children: Laura Dunbar (Marcus) of Bloomington, Caleb Swift (Renee) of Ft. Wayne, Mackenzie Swift of Nashville, and Madison Swift (Derrick) of Edinburgh; a brother, John Swift; sister, Lisa Swift; stepmother, Donna Moss Swift; aunts, Connie Mallory-Johnson and Barbara Harris; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Swift.

Mike worked as a manager for Kroger and CVS for many years. He loved watching basketball and football. He also enjoyed taking trips to the beach. Most of all, Mike cherished the time that he spent with his children and grandchildren.

Per Mike’s wishes, cremation was chosen.
