Gladys L. Frederick

Gladys Lucille Frederick, 95, of Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Cobblestone Crossings Health Campus. She was born on July 20, 1930, in Vigo County to Clyde Cullen Kersey and Marcele Fern Trout Kersey.

Gladys is survived by her brother, Clyde Kersey, Jr. (Karen); sister, Donna Lowdermilk; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Kersey; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn Frederick; brother, James Kersey; and sisters, Mary Catherine Schaffer and Sue Clark.

Gladys graduated from Fontanet High School in 1948. She worked at the Packard Shirt Company in Terre Haute for several years. Gladys enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Rea Park Women’s Golf League and participated in the City Golf Tournament. She liked to stay active and walked in her neighborhood, continuing to walk daily well into her 90s.

Per Gladys’ wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and she will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park’s Chapel of Memories with no formal services. Gladys’ family would like to thank the staff at Cobblestone Crossings for their dedication and support during her time at the facility.
