Eric Jon Trostler

On September 15th, 2026, the most gentle spirit left us. This beautiful, loving man was my friend, my soulmate, and my husband. His name is Eric Jon Trostler and he was born in Pomona, California on February 2, 1955, the second son of Richard and Patricia Trostler. Eric has a younger sister, Rena, who he loves dearly. He attended Cal State San Bernardino, where he received a degree in psychology. He worked for several years with agoraphobics in Long Beach, California and in 1985 he moved to San Francisco where he was concierge for South Beach Apartments. In 2002, Eric moved to Palm Springs, California, where he managed a Boutique Motel and was the receptionist for The AIDS Assistance Program. He was also a hypnotherapist and helped a lot of people through hypnotherapy.

We met in 2003 and were together for 23 years. In 2008, he broke his neck and a month later was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma Cancer and was told he had two years to live at the most. In 2019, we moved to Terre Haute to help care for my parents. In October of 2025, he finished all options with chemotherapy, and there was nothing else available. He'd done them all. This last year has been chasing rainbows. Nothing seemed to help and a week ago he caught pneumonia and left all of us who loved him. I know he's in a better place now.
