Doris Patterson

Doris (Blaker) Patterson, 96, of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at her home, surrounded by family. She was born on March 15, 1929, in Brazil, to Rex and Hila (Tabor) Blaker. She married Harold W. Patterson.

Doris is survived by a son, David Patterson (Jami) of Florida; daughters, Susan Green (Larry) of South Carolina and Barbara Selge (Paul) of Indiana; grandchildren: Matthew Patterson of Brazil, Tracy Selge of California, Kara Kjenstad (Brad) of Minnesota, Brent Selge of Minnesota, and Bryan Brough of South Carolina; and great-grandchildren, Samuel Lewandowski (Jenna), Jack Lewandowski, Dallas Selge, and Austin Selge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, grandson Sgt. Todd Selge; and sisters, Ruby Tyler, Beatrice Marchino, and Shirley Hicks.

Doris was a homemaker for 38 years, raising her children. She then decided to enter the workforce, working at Digital Audio Disc Corporation for 10 years until her retirement. She loved her grandchildren. Doris was creative and enjoyed painting, needlework, quilt making, and gardening. She was a long-time member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

Per Doris’ wishes, a private family graveside ceremony will be held in Roselawn Memorial Park. Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care and arrangements.
