Donald E. Whallon, Jr.

Donald E. Whallon, Jr., 77, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026 in his residence. He was born July 5, 1948 in Terre Haute to Donald E. Whallon, Sr. and Eloise Mae Beddow Whallon.

Survivors include his siblings, Judy Garrigus (Phil), Nancy Phipps (Norm), and Gary Joe Whallon; nephews, Scott Garrigus (Lindsey), Nathan Phipps (Katelin and children), and Nicholas Phipps (Kaitlyn and children); and long-time companion, Linda Booth. He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Brian Garrigus; niece, Gabrielle Thomas; and best friends, Tom Jacob and Denny Lovellette.

Don was a member of the Air Force Reserves, formerly worked at Midland Glass, and was a farmer. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Young Men’s Club, Marine Corp League, Riley Free Masons, Glassblower’s Union, and the F.O.E. The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and Debbie Athey’s Home Healthcare Group for their care.

A celebration of life will be held on July 5, 2026 (His Birthday) at the Riley American Legion beginning at 2:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
