Carrol Ann Drake

Carrol Ann Drake, 79, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026, at Hutsonwood Towne Parke Skilled Nursing Facility in Brazil. She was born on August 22, 1947, in Shelburn, to Joseph and Evelyn Marratta Robinson.

Carrol is survived by her children: Robert Drake (Dawn), Kathleen Pressley (Lanny), and Sarah Monce (Richard Richardson), all of Terre Haute; grandchildren: R.J. Drake, Béla Drake, Steven Monce, Daniel Monce, Jordan Monce, and Wen Monce; brothers, Sam Robinson and Bob Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anthony Drake; and a brother, George Robinson.

Carrol was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and baker. Her love language was making sure that people were fed – baking cookies and making dinners for her family. She enjoyed travelling with her husband and took several trips to Cancun, Mexico.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:05 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Monday, at the church. Carrol will be laid to rest next to her husband in Calvary Cemetery.
