Amber Elizabeth Ping

Amber Elizabeth Ping, 44, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Union Hospital. She was born on April 16, 1982, in Terre Haute, to Edward and Cynthia Osborne Ping.

Amber is survived by her parents, Ed and Cindy Ping of Terre Haute; a sister, Laura Ping of Mississippi; nephews, Joseph Ping and Dylan Ping; nieces, Hannah Ping and Ayla Wheeler; special cousins, Vicki Horseman and Brittany Horseman; uncles, John Osborne, Donny Osborne, Jr., and Kenny Ping (Julia); an aunt, Donna Hisle; her loving canine companion, Parker; and many other loving cousins and family members.

Amber was a 2001 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School. She dedicated her time to volunteering in the ICU at Union Hospital. In her childhood, she was the ambassador for the March of Dimes for several years in a row. Amber enjoyed social media, especially the crime chat groups that she was a member of which always helped keep her up to date with the latest news. A tattoo aficionado, Amber was always looking forward to getting her next one and convinced her closest family to join her in getting matching ink. Amber’s bold personality, love for her family, and her ability to persevere will forever be remembered.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
