Alfred Daniel Walker, Jr.

Alfred Daniel Walker, Jr., 78, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025 in Signature Healthcare. He was born September 28, 1946 in Terre Haute to Alfred Daniel Walker and Ruth Rennels Walker.

Survivors include his children, Christy McCullough (Jacob) and Daniel J. Walker (Carol); brothers, Robert Walker and Richard Eldred; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Walker; his parents; brothers, Ronald Eldred and Billy Walker; and sister, Linda Eldred.

Dan worked in banking, real estate, and after retirement was a security guard. He was past president of the Jaycees, was a Notre Dame fan, and loved the beach in Florida, Dan was an accomplished athlete graduated from Schulte, playing basketball, football, and baseball. He also coached baseball and was known for being a comedian and being funny.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Darvin Winters officiating. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice.
